Position Title :
Transportation Superintendent - Commuter Rail We are looking for a locomotive Transportation Superintendent with heavy railway or commuter railroad experience.
Be responsible for the overall supervision of all on-board crew members.
This includes job instruction, training, evaluation and discipline; Act as the Company's designated Railroad Testing Officer pursuant to the conditions set forth in 49 CFR 217.
9; Work in conjunction with the Railroad Foreman of Engines (RFE), to perform regular operational tests as required by 49 CFR 217.
9; Coordinate efficiency testing; Maintain the Company's program of operational tests and inspections as well as records of tests performed.
Qualifications:
hold a college or technical degree; possess 10 years of experience (5 years in passenger) directing T&E supervision & employees in the safe, efficient, movement of trains and customers; supervisory or management experience is important; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is useful; English communication skills are excellent.
