POSITION
Summary:
Operations and Maintenance Technician willcarry out the duties contractually obligated under any negotiated O and M agreement.
This role will also be a field response position to address any warranty issues that arise under the obligated warranty period of any installation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and
Responsibilities:
Obtain and maintain required certifications.
Requirement is 100 of allocated time.
Field Technicians will be required to be certified electricians Standard commissioning requirements will be upheld as set forth by the company.
Coordination, supervision of on:
site installation, project planning, commissioning, quality inspections and performance testing of photovoltaic solar arrays.
Requirement is roughly 30 of allocated time.
oInspect and test system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
oSecuring, using and maintaining test devices and tools for inspections, installations, testing and repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair system defects or deficiencies per warranty requirements.
Requirement is roughly 60 of allocated time.
Test, analyze and repair problems in photovoltaic arrays, including but not limited to modules, inverters and DAS systems.
Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
Return completed work orders to Asset and Service Manager as required.
Adjust system controls and torque settings to manufacturer recommended settings for the balance of system, using hand tools.
Requirement and commitment to ensure warranty and service obligations are completed within the expected timeframe.
Administrative.
Requirement is roughly 10 of allocated time.
Communicates problems with photovoltaic arrays, workplace or environment with Manager immediately.
Manages and maintains vehicle inventory stock and restocks accordingly.
Completes required paperwork efficiently.
Included but limited to timesheets, work orders, company forms, inventory sheets, expense reports and maintenance or service log requirements.
