Company Description Job Description IMMEDIATE OPENINGS Creative Human Resources Concepts, LLC (CHRC) is currently recruiting for possible contract to direct positions located in Bakersfield, CA within the oil & gas industry.
Roustabout / Field Technicians ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Assembles and repairs oil field machinery and equipment, using hand tools and power tools o Digs holes, sets forms and mixes and pours concrete into forms, to make foundations for wood or steel derricks, using posthole digger, hand tools and wheelbarrow o Bolts or nails together wood or steel framework o Dismantles and assembles boilers and steam engine parts, using hand tools and power tools o Bolts together pump engine parts.
Connects tanks and flow lines, using wrenches.
Unscrews or tightens pipe, casing, tubing and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs.
o Cleans interiors of boilers, storage tanks, industrial processing tanks, kilns and tank and refrigerator railroad cars to remove emulsion and incrustations, using shovels, squeegees, brooms, scrapers, hoses, water and solvents.
o Scrapes and scrubs walls, using detergents, solvents, scrapers and brushes to remove incrustations, scale or deposits of coke or catalyst o Sweeps up debris and shovels sludge into buckets or wheelbarrows or down chutes o May dry tanks with wood shavings or portable air-drying equipment o May test gas content of tanks o May add specified chemicals to industrial tanks to maintain and replenish tank processing solutions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
o Possession of Class C California driver's license o Passport Card is required o Confined Space Entry Training card is required o Inspection techniques, Hazard Recognition, hazard Awareness, Hazard Abatement, Lockout-Tagout, Haz-Com, General H2S Info Investigations.
o Ability to follow directions (verbal & written) o Understand chain of command o Ability to communicate with supervisors and clients WORKING CONDITIONS:
o Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time, work in small or confined spaces, work from heights PAY RATE:
