Controller, "CPA", "CMA"
Overall Responsibility:
Oversee all accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage cash flow, and contribute to strategic financial decisions.
Key Duties:
Manage accounts receivable, payable, budgeting, treasury, taxation, billing, payroll, general ledger, collections, and other accounting services.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage company cash reserves and participate in investment decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
Develop and manage annual and monthly budgets.
Ensure financial statements comply with accounting principles.
Oversee relationship with tax preparers and manage tax processes.
Manage 401(k) plan, including reports and communication to participants.
Review and approve audit results for key areas.
Advise on complex collection issues and manage accounts receivable process.
Approve high-dollar purchases and ensure proper spending protocols.
Lead and develop the accounting team.
Conduct staff meetings and communicate regularly with the CFO.
Hire and manage accounting staff.
Conduct performance evaluations for accounting team.
Manage accounting software and upgrades.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in a Business, Finance, or Accounting required.
An advanced degree is desirable.
CPA license and/or comparable license/certificate is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business with some experience in health care or rehabilitation management.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisorial experience required.
PC-based computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and accounting software are required.
