Responsibilities Operates Radiographic equipment to produce radiographs (xrays) under the general direction of the Supervisor/Imaging Director.
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement and the use of ingenuity and initiative.
Ensures safe operation and care of Radiology equipment and exposure of patients to radiation for diagnostic information.
Must be able to provide professional and quality care while following hospital policies procedures and standards.
Qualifications Minimum Required:
Must have a minimum of three years (3) experience as a staff technologist with at least one (1) year experience in one specialty field.
Will actively work in both Radiology and second specialty.
Licensure:
CRT & Fluoroscopy Permit certification required.
BLS certification required.
ARRT certification in one of the following Mammography Computed Tomography or MRI required for second modality.
Must spend at least 25% of clinical time working in the specialties.
Trainees must obtain CT ARRT within 12 months of date of transfer or hire.
CT CPRBLS;CT CRT;CT ARRT;CT RTTF Special Skills:
Demonstrates extensive knowledge of principles protocols techniques and procedures of Diagnostic Radiography and specialty.
Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members physicians and the general patient population.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.
Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
Pay Range $47.
22 - $55.
62 /hour Recommended Skills Basic Life Support Clinical Works Communication Coordinating Hardworking And Dedicated Imaging Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
