8K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, this position is responsible for collecting and distributing packages and/or documents for all departments within the company.
This position will require the ability to drive and follow a route schedule.
The Courier Service Driver will interact with other departments, clinic personnel, and outside providers in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with our internal and external customers.
Responsible for collecting and distributing deliverables to departments within the organization including interoffice mail.
Required to maintain a clean driving record and observe and comply with all laws including no texting while driving.
Coordinates with Purchasing Manager on STAT requests.
Ensures package safety and observe transportation requirements, such as frozen or perishable items.
Responsible for meeting delivery deadlines and obtaining customer signatures.
Receive assignments from Purchasing Manager by phone.
Accurately count and take inventory of medical items to be collected or delivered.
Responsible for maintaining mileage and maintenance information on company vehicle.
Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
2 years of work experience, preferably in a courier role.
Valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.
Excellent navigation skills with the ability to follow instructions/route from Purchasing Manager.
Ability to work effectively to urgent and changing situations.
Ability to work independently with an emphasis on punctuality and courtesy.
Excellent time management to maintain route schedule.
Physical ability to load and unload cargo.
Knowledge of how to handle materials safely.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $19.
02 and $22.
38 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
