CAU is looking for someone whom is detailed oriented, has the ability to educate our students and their parents about financial aid, is dependable and willing to learn.
We will train the right person for this job.
Summary:
The Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for meeting with students to assist with applying and determining financial assistance, awarding aid, and ensuring all required documents are completed and submitted for processing of aid.
In addition, the Financial Services Coordinator is responsible to educate and inform borrowers of loan requirements and responsibilities.
The Financial Services Coordinator must uphold the philosophy and mission of the University while instilling positive and progressive attitudes in all employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to the following:
COMPLIANCE:
Responsible for compliance with all local, state, accreditation and federal regulations Ensure completeness, accuracy, and security of financial aid files, documents and reports.
Ensure and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Responsible for complete and accurate timekeeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Conduct all duties and responsibilities ethically and professionally; Meet with prospective applicants and their families to assist with applying for financial assistance, determine financial aid eligibility, and make the awards; Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted for processing of aid timely; Educate and inform borrowers of loan requirements, responsibilities; and available repayment plans; Prepare and review financial aid package with students (prospective, in-school, restarts, and program changes) and complete enrollment agreements with students; Maintain the University's data system (CVUE) with accurate financial aid information including entering student budget information and awards; Manage and maintain award disbursement schedules in database; Originate Direct Loans.
Update system with date changes.
If necessary, put loan funds on hold.
Submit origination changes to student and parent loans when necessary; Administer Veteran's Education benefits for Military students; Provide Financial Literacy information to in-school students; Conduct and organize entrance and exit loan-counseling sessions; Administer, review, and grade loan counseling tests; Assist borrowers with submission of Deferment and Forbearance forms; Assist borrowers with repayment options at their place of employment or at their home; Notify applicants of their requirements to provide additional documentation to meet verification and C Flag requirements.
Responsible for collecting documentation within a timely manner and verifying its accuracy; Collect and receipt all payments made at the campus; Follow-up with any students who are past due on their student payments through any means of communication; Provide information to supervisor/campus director of past due payments on a weekly basis; Assist in the refund calculation process; close out student files for all students exiting school; Ensure that documents are placed in their proper order and closed within a timely manner.
Mail-out exit counseling materials to borrowers who withdrew from school within regulated time frame; Responsible for obtaining student signatures in order to disburse their Federal Perkins to their account; Other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
