Service Plumbing Tech

Company Mission Statement: Position Description Summary: Handles service calls to customers in their homes and sells fixtures, accessory items. Educate and assist customers in choosing service, products and finance options. Our service technicians diagnose drain problems, offer a solution and estimate for the problem, solve the problem and clean up their work area. Strong communication skills along with mechanical aptitude are required. Position Qualifications: At least 3 years of SERVICE plumbing experience is required. Strong customer service focus is a must. Requirements: Education: Required: A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience including hands on training in service plumbing work is required. License/Certification: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Physical: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Body Positions: Regularly requires sitting, walking, bending, lifting and digging for prolonged periods of time. Body Movements: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands feet and fingers to handle or feel objects and use tools and equipment and must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, climbing and crawling. Body Senses: Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone for long periods of time. Strength: Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Mental: Working Conditions: Typical workweek is eight (8) to twelve (12) hour workdays five (5) to six (6) days per week with regular weekend work, as well as rotating as the on call technician for 24 hour service. Some weeks will be slow with only part time work available. Also the position requires night callouts on short notice. This position deals with aggressive personalities in a highly competitive industry and will be stressful. The Service Technician must maintain a close working relationship with other members of the staff. Accountability: The Service Technician is accountable to the Owner/Office Manager/all lead men for all aspects of his/her job. The Service Technician must be able to pass a drug test and pass regular drug screenings as well as a background check. No criminal records are allowed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
