Product Demonstration Specialist (4308 California Ave)
Summary:
Responsibilities:
2.
Perform product demonstrations throughout the store, both passive and active.
3.
Work to ensure all demonstrations are efficiently and effectively facilitated including set up, clean up and completing paperwork for each demonstration.

Creatively merchandise demonstration product.
8.
Ensure that the number of samples to be given out during a demonstration is adequate for the the store's customer traffic.
9.
Work with Event Coordinator and Product Demonstration Manager to create a monthly calendar of demos.
10.
Work with Department Managers to ensure ample product to sell during demonstrations is ordered, and that product is reordered after demonstrations.
11.
Communicate with Regional and Store Managers regarding in-store product availability or changes in demonstration schedules.
12.
Order demonstration supplies and maintain demonstration equipment as needed.
13.
Assist the Event Coordinator and Store Manager with events as needed.
14.
Follow and comply with established procedures for health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
15.
Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and correct manner.
Requirements:
1.
Basic to intermediate cooking skills (able to cook with and without a recipe) and strong demonstrated food knowledge.
2.
Ability to handle, present, and cook items from all departments, including meat and seafood.
3.
Must possess a current Food Handler Card 4.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to knowledgeably and enthusiastically communicate recipes and product lines to customers.
Able to communicate effectively in English.
5.
Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough and timely manner.
6.
Thorough product knowledge and experience, especially in cosmetics and supplements.
7.
Working knowledge and application of all merchandising expectations with a specific focus on attention to detail.
8.
Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
10.
Proper use of knives, personal protective equipment, hand trucks, six wheel carts, and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and store.

Walk and stand for extended periods of time.
2.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
3.
Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds.
Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
4.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
5.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.
