Maintenance Mechanic

Perform a wide variety of technical and maintenance work in support of roads, trails, facilities, and recreational sites. Serve as a project lead coordinating the annual maintenance budget for facilities, roads, trails, and building maintenance for the staff engineer. Oversee and performs repairs and general clean-up operations, maintenance of water systems which includes treating and testing of water, and maintains proper chemical level in toilets. Conduct condition assessments to determine the need for repairs and maintenance. To qualify, there is no specific length of training or experience required; however, your resume must demonstrate enough experience to show your ability to perform the duties of a Maintenance Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Examples of such experience include:
(1) overseeing maintenance, repair and construction of buildings and facilities in the following areas of carpentry, welding, painting, electrical, and plumbing. (2) overseeing maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment and related utilities; (3) using hand tools used for carpentry, masonry, welding, and fabrications. Experience:

Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Physical Effort:
The incumbent must be in good physical condition as position requires heavy lifting ( over 40 lbs.), walking, climbing, standing, or bending in awkward positions for long periods of time, travel and work in difficult terrain and in extreme climatic conditions. Incumbent must be able to operate earth moving equipment for long periods of time and handle construction site conditions including rough surfaces, slopes, dust, and fumes associated with activities such as construction equipment use, painting, herbicides, and road surfacing. Must have excellent coordination of hand, foot, and eye; manual dexterity; good reflexes; very good depth perception; plus exercise a high degree of concentration and mental alertness in order to manipulate the controls to operate equipment in steep terrain and unstable soils. Work Environment:
Operators are responsible for operating equipment in a safe manner abiding by safety rules and regulations, and operate equipment in a manner that prevents damage. Outside work is often conducted in extreme heat or cold. Work is often performed subject to grease and fumes while working on equipment, painting and welding. Incumbent is required to wear protective clothing and is subject to constant noise and vibration. Work is often on hillsides and uneven surfaces or scaffolding. Work also involves use of herbicides. The work environment also includes interacting with people and organizations in very diverse situations including leading teams in the field. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
