Administrative Officer

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
(1) program oversight a variety of functions that includes incoming/outgoing correspondence, records management, publications/forms management, administrative standard operating procedures, administrative internal controls, and organizational files management; (2) developing policies and procedures for all office and administrative functions; (3) mentoring lower graded clerical and administrative staff; (4) providing advice, assistance, and/or instruction to clerical staff by furnishing reference materials, answering questions, and giving special instructions; (5) conducting studies, surveys, and interviews to gather information necessary to formulate policies, procedures, and strategies for the organization; (6) providing input and assistance with budget formulation; (7) and serving as the liaison between the District and the servicing human resources office on matters pertaining to personnel management of employees. To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education:
Specialized
Experience:
Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service performing the following tasks:
1) Providing administrative support of a full range of administrative support services (i.e. policy review, budget execution, and HR administration); 2) Coordinating administrative activities and staff to ensure consistent operational support; 3) Conducting studies to gather information necessary to formulate strategies for the organization; AND 4) Applying analytical or evaluative techniques to resolve administrative issues. (Note:
This experience must be demonstrated on your resume.) OR EDUCATION:
Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university, which provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. OR COMBINATION:
Have some specialized experience as described in statement A, but less than one (1) year; and have more than two (2) years but less than three (3) years of higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree as described in statement B. To determine if you qualify under this combination, first determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the specialized experience required; then determine your education as a percentage of the graduate education required (note:
only graduate education in excess of the first year is creditable for this combination); and then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Note:

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
